Art In Embassies

Art in Embassies (AIE) is a U.S. Department of State program that fosters cross-cultural dialogue and mutual understanding through the visual arts and dynamic artist exchanges. Established in 1963, AIE develops and presents approximately 60 exhibitions annually and has installed over 70 permanent art collections in more than 200 diplomatic facilities across 189 countries. The program engages over 20,000 international participants, including artists, museums, galleries, universities, and private collectors, promoting public diplomacy and cultural understanding through the visual arts.

I am thrilled and deeply honored to have my work featured in the Art in Embassies exhibition at the Residence of the U.S. Ambassador to Yemen.

In this exhibition, I’m sharing two of my pieces: Forgotten Yemen! and Life’s Twists and Turns. These works reflect the heart and resilience of the Yemeni people. Forgotten Yemen! embodies loss and mourning, a reminder of Yemen’s hardships and endurance. Life’s Twists and Turns explores the struggles and resilience of Yemeni lives disrupted by conflict—people who have lost homes, businesses, and loved ones, yet who carry on with strength.

I am deeply grateful to Ambassador Steven H. Fagin and the Art in Embassies staff for their commitment to fostering this exchange and for giving a platform to art that speaks to the heart.
